I hope you enjoy browsing the data and photos contained on these
pages. My original interest was simply to learn about my family
history, which eventually grew into a passion to discover more.
You are welcome to send me corrections and/or additions to any of
the information listed here as it is far from perfect, but hopefully
you will find it interesting and enjoyable.
The information which appears here was obtained through various
sources including but not limited to research on the internet, other
persons, census reports, land and court records, library research
or other historical research/data. Viewers and researchers of this
data should be aware that I strive to state that not all facts or
data listed here has been verified by me and that it should only
be used as a 'guideline'. When and where it was possible, acknowledgment
was given to the contributors and/or sources.
The program used to create this information is in the format of
a GEDCOM file using the Personal Ancestry File (PAF) program from
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. You are welcome
to download it for your own personal use with the understanding
that errors or misinformation may exist.
Attempts have been made to protect the names and information of
"living persons" where contact could be made or where
they expressly requested it.
NOTICE: I would appreciate everyone looking at the photos they contributed to this site to make sure credit was given where due. When I originally scanned some of the photos I forgot to note who sent them. With your help, I can make this correction. Please make sure you offer a good description of the photo with lots of details as the reference numbers to the photos sometimes change (program problem). Thanks. Judy
FAMILY LETTERS. Please contribute any Historical Family Letters you may have so they can be shared with others. These letters often tell us a lot about a person and the times in which they lived and will certainly be enjoyed by everyone. A new menu selection will soon be added to the LINKS page called HISTORICAL FAMILY LETTERS. Please send the scanned image in a jpg format.
PLEASE NOTE THAT SOME INFORMATION CONCERNING THE SURNAME OF VARVEL seems to be in question and may be incorrect. Be cautious with any data starting from Henry Stile Varvel (born 1770/95) until after January 2006, when this issue will be examined again and any needed corrections will be made at that time.
